"Carlin was amazing, made me look great, made me feel great. I remember being a lil bit stressed out bc new stylist, hadn't gotten it cut in a while etc. I sorta blathered out some basic information about my deal and she figured out how to give me the haircut I wanted. I'm seeing a few reviews like this, so it sounds like she does this consistently, which is pretty cool. Sounds like she's a good stylist for lots of people. I didn't actually look at reviews I just heard from people that she was good. You should probably have her do your hair, especially if you are, like me, a transwoman who doesn't trust just anyone to do her hair or to make the process pleasant and easy. You should have her do your hair and tip her generously, regardless of if you're trans or cis."

"So Mak has been my barber for years now and they’re both incredibly talented and very welcoming every time I’ve sat in their chair. They have always been thoughtful and truly listened to what hair style I wanted, never discouraging me or pushing their own opinions onto me like my previous experiences in other salons. They’ve fixed my hair when I butchered it doing it myself with no judgement and worked their magic to help me achieve the look I’ve always wanted based off of a collection of sample pics and my sometimes not so great communication 😅. It sounds corny but they’ve made me feel more confident and more like myself with each haircut and I leave happy every time. Never loved looking in a mirror as much as I have after they helped me get THE style I wanted, absolutely worth every dollar spent on their very reasonable priced services. I’ve had such fun conversations during my appointments and they’ve always made me feel comfortable. But if you’re not into that they also offer a quiet service with minimal conversations which is so cool to see being an option because I’ve never seen that before. Also, love that they have covid safety measures so we can protect each other! Highly recommend So for anyone looking for a great barber/hair stylist that takes your needs and wants into compassionate consideration, So Mak is the one!"

"This studio is great! So cute and clean. I’ve been working with Ash for over a year now doing curly cuts and color and he always nails it! Having curly hair, I am constantly dealing with stylists who cannot cut my hair or charge over the top fees making it impossible to maintain. Ash is knowledgeable, kind and accommodating! It is always a pleasure to work with him and see him grow in new environments."
