"When I relocated from Atlanta to Gainesville, I was concerned I wouldn’t find a reliable/skilled stylist that met my high standards (I am the son of a beautician, and I have very definite ideas about what I want). Working on the UF campus, the Reitz Union shop was convenient, so I gave it a shot. After my first experience with Jay, he has been my go-to! He’s been cutting hair since before I was a student here (mid-80s), and he knows exactly how to give me what I want (which is often something different). You would pay much more (with a lot more attitude) to get the same results anywhere else. This guy is an institution, and is a patient/friendly to his customers. For those who disparaged Jay on these reviews, I can only suggest that you’re likely an emotional hemophiliac who has deeper issues than supposedly receiving subpar service."

"Mario is truly a world class barber and I have been loyal follower for about 15 years now as a result. He does awesome work and will get you right. Fades, clippers, scissors, straight edge -whatever you need, he's got you covered. UF is lucky to have his services now and I highly recommend him to all!"

"Excellent service and very friendly barbers. The best haircut I got in many years and definitely the best in Gainesville. I will only go there for my haircut. I highly recommend this barber shop. You don’t need an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome. Haircut costs $16! Amazing. It’s inside Reitz Union, which on the ground level."
