"Well I would like to start this review with a few details and foundational points before we get into the services this salon provided me: 1. I am a truck driver with locs 2. I have a loctician but couldn’t get to her 3. ⚠️I am EXTREMELY TENDER-HEADED. ⚠️ 4. I have not had a wash/re-twist since end October 2024 5. Did I mention that I am extremely tender headed? After securing my rental car- not from Florida- I found out I was an hour and a half out. Called Jessica and she said “No problem, I am a driver too and I understand”… CAN WE ACKNOWLEDGE GRACE? ❤️ Arrived almost two hours after my appointment and she was so inviting, sincere and READY! Let’s define Ready- Suitable and in a state of availability; within reach of a goal! She had All of That! Let’s talk about the Shampoo 1. Properly prepped with materials 2.Ample Enough Space for these Thighs 😜 3. Water pressure and temp on point 4. Appropriate shampoo/conditioner for MY HAIR TYPE- Because we know that all shampoo/conditioners are not created equal! 5. Took her time 6. Assessed between rinses because… yeah! 7. Allowed my conditioner TIME TO SET… cause yeah… I did have to wait about an hour or so before my style started because I was late arriving- that’s fair! Style Elijah aka Peanut, very professional and beyond knowledgeable of all things hair. Upon starting, my hair needed interlocking vs a regular re-twist. Timely- but the attention to all 160+ locs was immeasurable. I was taken care of. I was heavily attended to. I conversed and I was poured into. I was shaped mentally. I was encouraged. I was accepted. I was handled with respect. Satisfaction does not describe my experience. The word that properly fits is triumphant. I felt complete as if I had arrived at a certain level that I had no idea of traveling to. Hairport Salon is in a model of its own. The Gainesville area will forever be impacted as long as services like this continue to thrive. This BOB is a plow moving all bullish!t hair services out of the way. I will never allow someone to belittle my expectations when it is companies like Hairport catching on! Run for the appointment. Do not walk. Run. Before on left After on Right SN: I do not use any product in my hair. By choice."

"I came to Hairport to get a half sew-in, half- braided hairstyle and Jessica was absolutely AMAZING!! I truly appreciate how she cared for the integrity of my hair so much that she made sure to keep asking if my braids were too tight in order to ensure that my hair did not get pulled out. My style came out neat and flawless! I will definitely be back😊😊"
