I have very curly hair so getting haircuts can be scary for me, but both Aliyah (who gave me my big chop) and Avin (who gave me my curly mullet) where so knowledgeable on curly hair as well friendly! My last haircut with Avin (@gender_affirming_hair on instagram) was amazing, they were very professional, kind, and their expertise rally showed in their confidence. They completely reshaped my hair and made sure to ask me about each step and my comfort beyond the haircut, with simple things like offering fidget toys. Avin even took the time to check in about my haircut via text about a week after, and answered all my questions about the best products to use for my hair. If you are on the fence at all about goldenrod, I can tell you from the stylists, to the atmosphere, to the products used and the education given to clients, goldenrod is more than worth it! "I saw Angel at Goldenrod today to get a hair cut and I had such a great experience. She was so gentle, caring and just so sweet. Angel asked me how much I would like to cut and wanted me to show her. I was nervous to cut my hair and Angel took the time to tell me what she was doing every step of the way. She talked with me about all sorts of stuff and she styled my hair for me. She was gentle with brushing my hair too so it didn't hurt. My hair feels so soft and healthy.
